Starting the week with some teaching…
One of the very first lessons I learned about leadership was the Law of the Lid and is one of my favorites. It is the first law in John Maxwell’s book The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. In this book, John teaches what he has found to be the laws that leaders live by. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend this book.

The reason why most people don’t like change is that it makes them uncomfortable.
They resist because they fixate on what they are potentially giving up, instead of what they can achieve.
The fact is that change is an inevitable part of growth.
People that resist will close the door on opportunities that could change their lives.
People that embrace change will rise.
Their thinking will change. Their awareness will expand.
I am amazed at the amount of ‘get rich quick’ ads on facebook lately.
But I am even more stunned by people’s reaction.
They eat it all up… and for a good reason.
We are humans.
People want to feel successful.
People want financial abundance.
People want to live a life without worry.
People want to travel the world.
But people want all of this to happen without effort. Without sacrifice.
Where is the value in that?
